LowerMainLAN

LowerMainLAN

In 2008 there were so many different LAN parties that the attendee pool became too diluted for anything good to come of it. With the launch of LANPartyEH.com (www.lanpartyeh.com), we have begun to unite the Vancouver gaming community as ultimately we each have the same goal, to have a blast and host a big LAN. For 2009 We have consolidated the efforts and individual talents of these three groups for hosting on the large scale into one single annual event, LowerMainLAN. The event was started by the renowned CapLAN crew in March 2008. The venue can hold up to 600 people, but this year we're aiming for 200 with the ability to scale up to 300 if need be.

We focus on the casual gamers as they are the core of the gaming world. Most people don&'t have time to spend hours in front of one game playing over and over until they have polished their skills to a mirror shine. Instead we focus on the well-rounded gamer who can play more then one game. We encourages everyone to come to our LAN. Not just the pros.

The event will be powered with professional grade Cisco and Extreme networks switches, and with the use of a fiber optic backbone, we will be able to provide all attendees with a lag-free gaming experience
